Pet Health Passport - Organize and Share Vet Records

Prepare a private pet health passport with records, medications and care notes. Export a report or share an expiring snapshot with someone you trust.

What a pet health passport is—and is not

A pet health passport is a practical summary of information you have recorded about your animal. It helps you prepare for a vet appointment, explain an ongoing care routine or hand information to a trusted caregiver. In Furry Assistant 1, it is a private report in the Care area, not a public directory listing. It is not an official travel passport, veterinary health certificate, proof of vaccination or substitute for a clinic's original records. Ask your veterinarian and travel provider which official documents are required before a trip.

What the existing report includes

The passport brings together recorded pet details, care instructions, health records and medications. It can include veterinarian and emergency information, allergies and conditions you entered, recent dose records, nutrition entries and care notes. Empty information stays empty; the report does not invent a history. The report contains a limited recent selection of dose, nutrition and care entries, so do not assume it is a complete lifetime archive. Review individual records when you need an older history.

Prepare the passport before an appointment

Sign in, open Care, choose your pet and select Passport. Review the information before using the report's PDF or print option. An example preparation routine is to check the latest appointment summary, confirm the current medication list, and write down the questions you want to discuss. If you are concerned about a change in appetite, bring a dated observation rather than a guessed diagnosis. Ask the clinic how it prefers to receive documents. The organizer does not automatically send records to a veterinarian or synchronize with a clinic system.

Choose between a downloaded report and a temporary link

A downloaded or printed report is a copy you can keep or deliver through a trusted channel. An owner can also create a temporary report link after acknowledging a sharing warning and choosing an expiry of 1–30 days. That link contains a point-in-time snapshot: later edits to the pet's records do not update it. Create a new snapshot when important information changes. Anyone holding the link can open or forward it, so send it only to the intended recipient and avoid placing it on public social media.

Understand the privacy boundaries

The temporary link copies the full report, including any sensitive medical notes and contacts it contains. It is not a field-by-field redaction tool. Review the source information before deciding whether a full report is appropriate. The owner can revoke an active report link, and links expire, but neither action retracts a downloaded PDF, screenshot or printed copy. A public QR pet profile is a different feature: it is not a private medical passport. Do not use a public profile link when you mean to share confidential care information.

When a shorter handoff is better

A sitter may need feeding instructions, medication directions and emergency contacts rather than a full medical history. Use the sitter checklist for a concise handoff, or invite a caregiver with only the permissions needed for their role. For example, a weekend helper may need feeding and emergency information but not a full health report. Review the handoff together before departure and agree how changes will be communicated. None of these documents authorizes treatment on your behalf; confirm the veterinary clinic's own consent arrangements separately.

Frequently asked questions

Is the pet health passport free?

Yes. The passport is part of Furry Assistant 1's free core care tools. Sign in and add your pet's information to prepare a report. No subscription is required; optional ad removal does not unlock the passport.

Does a shared passport update automatically?

No. A temporary report link opens the snapshot created when you shared it. Update your records and create a fresh snapshot when the recipient needs changed information.

Can I take back a report I shared?

You can revoke an active temporary link. You cannot retract copies someone already downloaded, printed or photographed. Share only information you intend the recipient to keep.

Can I use this as an official travel certificate?

No. Travel and boarding requirements must be checked with the relevant authority, provider and veterinarian. Keep official certificates alongside your personal organizer.
